Especially when we behaved well all the year and our blood glucose level was within its target range. <strong>The main thing is a quantity!<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">How to maintain moderation and deal with temptation, here are some suggestions to help you with this goal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Avoid long lasting hunger<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">A strong feeling of hunger is always followed by eating a large amount of food. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Therefore, before the New Year's table is set and all family members sit down, enjoy a protein or non-starchy vegetable dish beforehand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Such food is slowly processed by the body and gives a feeling of fullness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Drink a cup of water before eating<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Filling your stomach with water will help you feel full sooner, reduce your appetite, and therefore reduce the risk of overeating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Make your eating plan beforehand<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">\u10d9\u10d0\u10e0\u10d2\u10d8 \u10d8\u10e5\u10dc\u10d4\u10d1\u10d0, \u10d7\u10e3 \u10dd\u10ef\u10d0\u10ee\u10e3\u10e0\u10d8 \u10e1\u10d0\u10d0\u10ee\u10d0\u10da\u10ec\u10da\u10dd \u10db\u10d4\u10dc\u10d8\u10e3\u10d3\u10d0\u10dc \u10ec\u10d8\u10dc\u10d0\u10e1\u10ec\u10d0\u10e0 \u10d3\u10d0\u10d2\u10d4\u10d2\u10db\u10d0\u10d5\u10d7, \u10d7\u10e3 \u10e0\u10dd\u10d3\u10d8\u10e1 \u10e0\u10dd\u10db\u10d4\u10da \u10d9\u10d4\u10e0\u10eb\u10e1 \u10d3\u10d0\u10d0\u10d2\u10d4\u10db\u10dd\u10d5\u10dc\u10d4\u10d1\u10d7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Also, make sure that most of your diet consists of non-starchy vegetables. Here's a quick guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">vegetables containing starch are: potato, corn, peas, pumpkin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">vegetables without starch are: cucumber, tomato, bulgarian pepper, carrot, beet, cabbage, broccoli, anion, radish, lettuce, eggplant, mushroom, asparagus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eat as slow as it's possible<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">This will help you avoid missing out on a filling meal and overeating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Of course, you can also enjoy a small amount of your favorite cake from time to time, and we can coincide this exceptional day with the New Year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\" class=\"translation-block\">Don't forget that <strong>small portions are key!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">For this purpose you can eat very slowly and also you can add sweets after main dish as a dessert. It will really help to keep small amounts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hide the food<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">It is advisable not to keep food in plain sight at all times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">This will help you avoid snacking between meals. Looking at food always makes you want to eat it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Replace eating with walking<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">If you're really hungry, but you've already had quite a lot and it's not even time for your next meal yet, try taking a walk in the fresh air instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">20 minutes is enough to produce the hormones of satisfaction: endorphins and serotonin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Control your blood glucose level<\/strong> <strong>more often<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">To stay on top of things, don't be too hasty and stop in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Don't forget physical activity!<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">you must even increase your usual physical activity level. It will help your body to handle with extra glucose and calories. Have a walk outside after dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">and finally,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Don't blame yourself<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">If you were unable to do so and missed the plan by one day, that's just a normal human factor. A few exceptions are allowed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that the next day gives you a chance to fix everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Diabetes and alcohol<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Alcohol is an undivided part of the christmas holiday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">The daily acceptable dose of alcohol which doesn't change blood glucose level is: 100 ml of wine and 330 ml of beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Using more than this amount of alcohol can cause hyperglycemia at the first stage and then hypoglycemia, which is dangerous for the body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">The risk of hypoglycemia is particularly high for those being on insulin therapy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">The risk of hypoglycemia is particularly high for those being on insulin therapy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">How can we decrease this risk:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">don't take alcohol on empty stomach and before eating! Only drink along with eating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">after drinking alcohol you must have a snack before going to sleep, to avoid hypoglycemia at night.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">avoid drinking alcohol with add on sugar or soda. The best choice can be red wine with no sugar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">control your blood glucose more frequently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">in case of hypoglycemia use a cup of orange juice or a little peace of chocolate or other food containing simple carbohydrates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:16px\">study beforehand how your body reacts on alcohol in order to be ready for possible problems after drinking. The frequent control of blood glucose 2 days before and after drinking can help with it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\"><em>Happy new year!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
